Happy Hands Piano Academy Studio Policies 2025
Lesson Tuition and Payment
Private individual lessons are conducted on a weekly basis for 30 minute sessions. Tuition is based on a 10-month period (September – June) and divided into monthly payment installments. The studio runs much like a private school: tuition remains the same each month and is based on enrollment, not attendance. Reserving your child’s exclusive lesson time throughout the academic year guarantees their weekly spot, whether they attend lessons or not. It is not the teacher’s responsibility to reschedule a student’s lesson if they have a conflict with another activity. A student who does not attend a lesson will simply miss the benefit of that lesson. Your tuition reserves you a weekly time slot and benefits within the studio. Please give as much notice as possible when canceling a lesson.
Tuition payments are processed securely through Stripe and are due on the 1st of each month. To begin lessons, a one-time $30 registration fee is required to reserve your spot. This fee also helps cover administrative costs, provides access to your personalized Carol Matz Interactive Piano Method portal, and includes all lesson materials. Once your registration is complete, you’ll receive a link to choose your weekly lesson time and set up automatic monthly payments.
Discontinuation of Lessons
If you need to discontinue lessons, please provide at least one month’s written notice. This allows time to offer the spot to another student and plan accordingly. If less than one month’s notice is given, the next month’s tuition will still be due in full, regardless of attendance.
The teacher also reserves the right to discontinue lessons at any time if it is no longer a good fit. In that case, any unused tuition will be refunded on a prorated basis. Reasons for dismissal may include (but are not limited to):
- Frequent absences or late arrivals
- Ongoing scheduling conflicts or excessive reschedule requests
- Lack of practice or engagement
- Disruptive or uncooperative behavior
The goal is always to create a positive and productive experience for everyone involved. Clear communication is encouraged to ensure success!
